Types of Bats

We often get asked what the difference is between bats. This can be quite a complicated answer, especially for beginners. We've broken down some of the most important factors between alloy, hybrid & composite bats. Don't even get started on the different types of wood & wood/composite!! We will save that for another post.

Note: Composite Softball bats can use a technology referred to as Double barrel or Gap Wall. These bats have an inner barrel which creates more inertia and can result in a cracking sound as the inner barrel moves. This noise can develop over time as the inner barrel starts to move, which it is designed to do.
